Computer Applications class has been working in Corel Office Suite. A variety of software applications will be experienced dealing with wordprocessing and desktop editing. To introduce students to the application, "reproduction" files are used. Students create a likeness of the file and make modifications when appropriate. The first grading period students have experienced graphics, tables, drop caps, columns, use of color, tabs, watermarks and screens shots to create a variety of documents as shown in the following pictures.

The Computer Application classes hosted guests from Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) on Friday. Mr. Gary Dominguez, Ms. Akram Taghavi-Burris, Mr. Tom Ashby and Ms. Christy Rogers from OCCC presented information to the classes regarding Technology classes our students could enroll in at OCCC.

Classes such as Computer-Aided Design, Multimedia Emphasis, Web Animation, 3D Rendering & Design Visualization and many more. The students were treated to an overall view of the Technology department from our guests. Mr. Gary Dominguez walked the students through a sample lesson from his 3D class, creating an object from a box and using the software to manipulate the box into a jet-powered bird. He then explained the printing process that produced a 3D object rather than a flat piece of paper.

We would like to thank OCCC for allowing our guests to come to BCHS.
